1. What is the use of an Image Editor?
An image editor is helps you to do adjustments to images. Transform, extract background, add effects/texts, crop and rotate are just common tasks that an image editor would do. The most popular image editor is definitely Adobe Photoshop. It is said to be the "King" of digital image editing (graphic designing) programs.
2. Do I need Photoshop?
Photoshop is amazing. But you do necessarily need it to make awesome images/photos. There are many free alternatives which are also professional and feature-rich. Software such as Paint.NET and GIMP are good examples and are believed to be the "Free Photoshop" They are designed for average user who cannot afford the expensive Photoshop.
